Nothing on VGXPO, and here’s why

I would love to tell you all how much fun the VGXPO was and that everything went according to plan and I would have dozens of stories, videos, and pictures to share, but I cannot. The trip to the VGXPO was a bust and I missed the whole thing. Originally, I was going to travel with a number of other people, but two dropped out at the last minute. That was only the beginning. The driver could not drive and everyone else refused to pick up the slack. We then decided to go by train then take a cab, but then it was pointed out that 30th Street Station was fifteen blocks away from the convention center, and for some reason or another that deterred everyone else.

Not even the lure of making a side trip to Victory Brewery changed their minds and I was left as the last person still interested in going, then that feeling faded when I realized that I was the only one still interested in going to the VGXPO. So, what did I do to preserve my promise of going to the convention to perform some unofficial press coverage? I went with another group of friends to see Quantum of Solace, eat BBQ, then see Bolt.

I apologize for failing to fulfill my previous post. The trip was a last minute plan, so of course everything fell through. There is a lesson in this story somewhere, and here it is: Quantum of Solace was great, Bolt was better, and BBQ kicks ass!

In other news, the Shanoa Saga missed a post this past week because of the botched VGXPO trip. My apologies again.

VGXPO

The VGXPO: America’s Video Game Expo started today, November 21st, and will continue to November 23rd. It is being held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center located at 1101 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19107.

The east coast does not see many video game related expos; that has been the west coast’s treat. However, if you are a local of Pennsylvania or the tri-state area, then check it out. I will not continue to shill it out; just laying groundwork for my announcement that I will be attending the VGXPO on Saturday, and plan to have a report of some sort posted on this blog sometime afterward. And, no, I will not be going in with a Press Pass. I did not even think about, so . . . there. Stay tuned.
