Still Here

January 10, 2009

All of my blogs have been neglected over the past few weeks in favor of various offline work. I am still trying to figure out how to make my online aspirations come to life, but I also need something solid to build upon. To that end, I am going through the process of substitute teaching certification and authorization.

I just had my fingerprints registered and await my opportunity to continue submitting forms and paying fees until I finally get to work and see if I would even like teaching . . . Oh yeah. I am going through all the trouble to become a substitute teacher just to give a try, and to get out of the house. I enjoy writing, but it is a lot of sitting down in one place.

I would appreciate your continued patience. When this blog is renamed and redesigned, you will know that something is up. Until then . . .

More to come,

Happy New Year!

January 2, 2009

Auld Lang Syne
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind ?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And days o’ lang syne ?

For auld lang syne, my jo,
For auld lang syne,
We’ll tak a cup o’kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.

And surely ye’ll be your pint-stowp !
And surely I’ll be mine !
And we’ll tak a cup o’ kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my jo,
For auld lang syne,
We’ll tak a cup o’kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.

We twa hae run about the braes,
And pu’d the gowans fine ;
But we’ve wander’d mony a weary foot,
Sin auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my jo,
For auld lang syne,
We’ll tak a cup o’kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.

We twa hae paidl’d i’ the burn,
Frae morning sun till dine ;
But seas between us braid hae roar’d
Sin auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my jo,
For auld lang syne,
We’ll tak a cup o’kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.

And there’s a hand, my trusty fiere !
And gie’s a hand o’ thine !
And we’ll tak a right gude-willy waught,
For auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my jo,
For auld lang syne,
We’ll tak a cup o’kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.

Merry Belated Christmas

December 30, 2008

I have not completely abandoned this blog yet, but I obviously have been neglecting it.

I know it was days ago, but Merry Christmas! And if you do not celebrate Christmas, consider this: Christmas means something to me, so by saying “Merry Christmas,” I am extending my best wishes to you whether you join in on the holiday or not. Think of the spirit behind the saying and the intent. The year is almost over. Enjoy the ride. :D

More to come,

The end of the year is approaching, so it’s time for a change

December 6, 2008

Over the past few months, I’ve maintained three blogs dedicated to a specific video game:

The Chicken Chaser Chronicles for Fable II

Cor Blimey! It’s a Dragon Quest IV Blog for Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen

and

The Shanoa Saga for Castlevania: Order of Eccelsia

I enjoyed writing these blogs and will see them through to completion. However, I also have my sights set on new projects that might include other blogs following video game play-throughs, but will also branch out into other areas. Jon K Langdon Presents will continue to be the hub for my various projects, but it too will change. I realize the blogs I’ve been keepings are far from professional–they were started for fun–but, I hope to elevate my blogs in quality and content. New Years Day is weeks away, but I’m making one of my resolutions now: to clean up my blogs and expand my portfolio of projects; two resolutions then. There’ll no doubt be more resolutions to come.

Updates
Both Cor Blimey! It’s a Dragon Quest IV Blog and The Shanoa Saga have new installments available. Please visit those blogs for more details. Over, the past week, I’ve fallen out of my weekly release schedule, and I don’t plan on going back to one entry per blog a week. I’ve been writing drafts of my entries in notebooks as I played the games, so I’m actually weeks if not months ahead of schedule in my notebooks. New games are coming out, and there are plenty of other projects that I won’t to focus on, so I’ll be increasing my release schedule to “as fast as I can manage or content will allow.” I want to bring Cor Blimey! It’s a Dragon Quest IV Blog, The Shanoa Saga, and The Chicken Chaser Chronicles to an end while readers were still apathetic.

Thank you for your patience, there’ll be more to come.
